My love of photography began as a teenager, but everything changed when a friend invited me on a bird watching hike. I wasn't a twitcher — it was their sheer beauty that captivated me. The way light catches a feather, the intensity of a raptor's gaze. I knew immediately that I wanted to capture that.

From birds it was a natural step into wider wildlife and landscapes. Nearly twenty years ago I fell completely in love with the rugged, untamed landscapes of the Scottish Highlands — and they've called me back ever since.

I'm drawn to those fleeting moments where light and nature align perfectly. It's the pursuit of those moments that keeps me heading out with my camera whatever the weather.
